Now, a password is here to use for all who want to join. You must put it in the character bio. I know how annoying it can be to read the rules, but it is a must-do; Rules are everywhere you go, and required to be made!
The Given rules
These are the rules that should not have to be put into words. Sadly, some just do not listen. So Time and time again, We need to repost for those who need a little growing up.
1. Don't insult or tell other people to do things. This includes asking for your character's approval more than once. Just ask us once, and if it passes two weeks, then remind us.
2. It is very dangerous to give out personal information. Do not give out your full name, address, city, email, phone number, SIN, etc. This is very dangerous. Serious punishment will be dealt to those offenders.
3. No talk about religion, politics, race, and not even Twilight. This causes huge fights mostly, and these topics are not welcome here. Sorry to those who love/hate Twilight with a passion, just please don't mention it.
4. Don't spam. Spamming is bad for those who spam a lot. Spam. Spam. This includes images, words, etc. Please do not follow the previous example. Roxy gives them a lot, don't follow by them.
5. This is a PG-13 website. Do not post inappropriate graphics on here or talk of it in any way. Also, no description of it in role playing; Just do a fade out if needed. This includes sexual role-plays, graphics, and overly bloody and violent things.
6. Do not troll this site. This is obvious, but I might as well mention it. It is extremely rude. For those who do not know what a troll is, it is somebody who is just plain annoying, breaks the rule of talking back to admins, and is very controversial.
7. No advertising on the site other then in the appropriate section to do so. (The advertising section! )
8. Do not PM advertise; if you try to personal message members about something, do not advertise or post rude images.
Canons and Original characters
1. To play a Canon character, you must be active. Also, you need to be good at your position; no one wants a boring canon character when you have high expectations. You need to be a good, advanced role player to do so. If you are inactive for two weeks without a given excuse (a good one), you lose your canon.
2. Do not make your character a Mary Sue. That means, it is perfect in every way possible and has no weakness. Every character must have some flaw, and it needs to be realistic, not something like the rarest plant of all found only at a certain time of year at a certain place or something.
3. For original characters, they can interact with Canons, obviously. But in history, unless it happened IC (in context), the cannot start off with relationships with canons, like best friend or worst enemy and such.
4. For rare items like Shikon shards, you will need to buy them in the shop thread. It is located in the general section, You can start off with a single shard, but that is it until you purchase another.
5. You need to get your character bio approved before you can start to role play. It needs to be by a staff member, and moved into the completed characters section. ((EDIT:;; This includes staff characters.))
6. Check spelling; there always is spell check, and it is neater if used and if you reread over your posts.
7. Characters coming from the present to the past MUST have a good reason, and at least a five paragraph history, and that is full paragraphs.
Posts
1. There should not be a one liner for every thread. We like to see at least a paragraph, and if that is not possible, do not overuse one liners; it gets to be boring after a while.
2. Do not text talk. For example: Mika loled at the bear. Wen she saw u, u laughed and clapped ur hands. Actually, that had a number or rule breaks, but you get the point; text talking is annoying.
3. We talk in Third person, past tense. When I say third person, I mean it is talking about your character. An example is: Happy started to walk down the street, sighing. She really needed a drink of water, and fast!
Now, When I say past tense, this is a big no-no: Happy walks over to you and smiles brightly.
The correct way to say it is: Happy walked over to her and smiled brightly.
4. Do not have your character Metagame. Metagaming is when a character knows something that they should not know, for example, this:
Person 1: Wow, That idiot is a loser!thought Happy to herself as she tried not to laugh.
Person 2: "Hey! I am not an idiot or a looser!" snapped Mad, fuming.
The second person's character would have 'mind read'. It is not allowed, as is knowing information that is supposed to be concealed or private off the top of their head. They cannot be all knowing.
5. Do not power play. Power playing is when you control another person's character. For example say we are in a battle thread, and it acts out like this:
Person one: Happy punched mad in the jaw, making him loose some teeth and bleed. She laughed as he scowled at her.
Person two: After being hit, Mad slammed Happy to the ground and watched her start to cry.
Both people here were power playing. They were making each others characters do something without permission. This is how it is supposed to go:
Person one: Happy aimed to punch Mad in the jaw, anticipating the reaction. Then, she aimed to kick him in the shin.
Now, player two would decide whether or not it hit.
Person two: Mad suddenly got punched in the jaw. He winced, but luckily was able to dodge the kick in the shin.
6. If it is too hard of a battle for your character, make them flee. They will not be able to dodge every attack; that would be godmodding. If the odds are stacked too high, then run if you so not want them hurt or worse. The character accepted sentence is 'Will he choose Kikyo or Kagome?'. Put it after the rules question in your bio.
7. If you are inactive for too long, excluding certain excuses with a time-frame of about how long you will be gone, you will risk being deleted. If you have not posted for at least two months (after the excuse, if one is given), you will be warned, and two weeks later be deleted.
8. Report any rule breaks! We are here to help with them if needed!
9. Please join open threads if you can, don't start a new one if there are open threads. This will make the site more active.
10. HAVE FUN! That is the ultimate goal, to enjoy role playing Inuyasha here...
