For nearly ten years, it has been evident to the world that some people have special gifts that others do not. Abilities to run with inhuman speed, or to create fire with a flick of their hand. Some religious fanatics called it the work of the devil, but scientists theorized it was a new step in evolution. And so began the great turmoil of what should be done.
Just as with every minority, two sides fought for what they thought was right, and created political tension that still rages today. But that is not where our story takes place. The outside world is of little concern to the students of West Burrow.
You see, no one is West Burrow knows quite why they are there. They all remember being taken and waking up in the school, prison, whatever you wish to call it. And it has been happening for almost as long as the discovery of powers. Some of the students say it's a government conspiracy, some have darker thoughts. One thing is agreed upon though, once you are in West Burrow, leaving is not an option.
The facility is surrounded by a large wall. Those who try to make a break end up dead. Some explode into tiny pieces, and some suffer lethal injections from the communicator attached to their arm. Leaving the walls, will only lead one to death. Other than the wall, there is nothing else. No guards, no warden, and no one in charge. It is simply a prison in which the only messages you receive from the person doing this are through your cuff on your arm. They are almost like a ghost in the facility.
Not sure what to do, and never being told what was going on, some of the older students divided up the residents of West Burrow, and began teaching them. It was on the recommendations of a former West Burrow resident who dissapeared, which is also a regular occurrence. He suggested teaching the power-users to hone their abilities. If ever given the chance, they could then fight their way out of this place. And that is what the, now students, began doing.
Users are given to mentors who have similar, if not, identical powers to them upon arrival. They work to educate one another and train everyone to be the strongest they can. Everyday though, residents of West Burrow disappear out of bed and never come back.
What ever is happening at West Burrow is a huge mystery that so far remains unsolved. Many prying eyes have tried to unmask it's secrets, but their has been no avail. Will you be the one to discover what is really happening? Or will you go along with the order of things and wait to be take from your bed to the mysterious beyond? Only time will tell what happens...
