YOU WERE THE BEST THING,
NOW YOU HAVE MY BEST WISHES
As her feet touched the sand of a beach of an island, she sighed with relief. Now she was out of the cramped rowboat, being commandeered by a large, male demon. There were about five of the large, muscular demons around her, and they pushed her out of the gradually sinking boat from the weight.
Emillia was in trouble, pretty much. She was out exploring a series of caves, when a bunch of humanoids came and ambushed her. They had taken her weapons, her coins, and anything valuable she had on her. Against these demons, claws and teeth would not work out very well. She was stuck there, so she did as she was asked to do by them.
Thus, they went to this island. Emillia had heard of it, heard that it was cursed. If she could get the attention of a lesser demon, then maybe they would distract the men long enough to for her escape, but she didn't see how this would work. She was surrounded by them, so she had nowhere to go. Almost how wild horses protect the foals in a herd, by surrounding them, except she couldn't get out even if she tried. They were all very much larger than she, obviously.
"You might as well let me go now."
"And miss out on the fun?" One of the men replied to her temptations.
Emillia growled quietly and crossed her arms as they pushed her into a walking pace, still surrounding her. They were leading her to the center of the island, where a palace stood, made of black bricks. "Keep walking." She was pushed once again as she tried to stop and leave them behind, but she knew that it wouldn't work.
If she even tried to attack them, she was outnumbered, and they were pure demons, unlike her, a half-dog demon. They seemed rather strong as well. They led her inside the palace, and started heading for a throne room, which was at the top of the tower they were now in. "Let me go now?" Emillia asked with no responses, so she decided to annoy them. "Are we there yet?" She repeated this many times until the man in front of her punched her, causing her nose to bleed and her lip to be split through the middle "That wasn't very nice." The man laughed as she wiped the blood from her face only to get more on it.
Up higher they went, and then they reached the room. The man in front opened the large, double doors. "Have fun." He laughed as she was pushed inside the room, the doors quickly closed behind her. She turned back and stuck out her tongue at the now closed doors, ignoring the fact that this made her lip bleed even more. She turned back to see that she was facing the back of a large, comfortable chair, that was onlooking the island through see-through walls. Must have been magic. The tall, slender man reached a long-fingered hand to the plate of chocolate on the round side table.
Emillia slightly smirked. She was alone with him, she could kill him, break the barrier, go after the males, see what happened, and force one of them to give her things back before killing him as well. Perfect! Just how she liked doing things. "Hello, miss" Said a rather shallow voice, slightly high-pitched for a male, but it sounded dark. From behind the chair, she could see him stretch out large, bat-like wings. "Your blood... smells delicious" what the hell? "Would taste nice as a sauce for my chocolate..." he spoke as if he were expecting her to give her blood willingly.
The man stood and turned to her, smirking slightly "Beautiful... A young half-breed female, turning human tonight" Emillia snarled slightly. He could tell it by the scent of her blood, that a night of the full moon was her human night, and she was weak this day. "I do love the blood of a human girl... I think I will save you for later" He turned away swiftly with a heave of his light cloak, and was gone. He left before Emillia could hurt him. She felt stupid for not taking her chance. She heard as a bar was slid over the door, causing her to be stuck in there.
Tonight, she would be human for a week. Her human night didn't last one night, because she didn't have it any other month. She had it just in the freezing winter, on a full moon. Then, she would turn human for a week, and be weak for a week. Makes sense, doesn't it? Weak for a week?
Emillia sat in the large chair, staring into the sky as the sun set lower in it. Her amber eyes turned to dark red soon enough, and her pin-straight, white hair turned to wavy, raven-black hair that she shared with her mother. She tapped her foot as her white dog ears also were replaced by a human's ears, and she playing with the ribbons on her work uniform of a maid. Glaring into the night, she was left in that room with see-through walls, unnoticed by anybody who passed. She was SO going to die.
